catatan instalasi backtrack 3 final dual boot windows xp

tulisan ini merupakan sambungan dari tulisan sebelum dan merupakan catatan instalasi coba-coba backtrack 3 final pada komputer yang telah memiliki system windows xp dengan spesifikasi hdd 80 GB SATA, ram 2GB………………….

1. tancapkan flashdisk yang telah terisi backtrack 3 final pada colokan usb

2. booting komputer anda, dan setting bios agar first boot nya adalah flashdisk anda

3. jika sudah boot, tekan enter lalu pilih BT3 graphics mode (vesa kde)

4. klik shell konsole pada panel bawah

5. lakukan partisi (akan dibuat partisi sda2 untuk data ntfs, sda3 swap dan sda4 root dan boot)

nampak bahwa hardisk telah terisi sistem dengan format ntfs sebesar 25 GB, selanjutnya buat partisi baru sebesar 30 GB

buat lagi partisi untuk swap sebesar 1 GB (1/2 x ram udah cukup soalnya ram nya lumayan besar 2 GB……kontra teori swap=2xram)

untuk mengubah ektensi/filesistem sebuah partisi, ketik huruf t, akan diubah sda 2 menjadi ntfs dan sda3 menjadi swap

untuk mengaktifkan hasil perubahan lakukan reboot sistem

jika partisi sudah selesai, langkah selanjutnya adalah melakukan format system, akan diformat sda2 dg tipe ntfs dan sda4 dengan tipe ext.3

sekali lagi lakukan reboot sistem

bt ~ # reboot

lakukan umount terhadap sda1, sda2, dan sda4

bt ~ # umount /dev/sda1

bt ~ # umount /dev/sda2

bt ~ # umount /dev/sda4

buat direktori sda4 di direktori mnt

bt ~ # mkdir /mnt/sda4

bt ~ # mount /dev/sda4 /mnt/sda4

bt ~ #cp -p -R /{bin,boot,dev,home,pentest,root,usr,etc,lib,opt,sbin,var} /mnt/sda4/

buat sendiri directori mnt,proc,sys,tmp di /mnt/sda4

bt ~# mkdir /mnt/sda4 /{mnt,proc,sys,tmp}

lalu mount an already visible directory :

bt ~# mount –bind /dev/ /mnt/sda4/dev/

lalu mount :

bt ~# mount -t proc proc /mnt/sda4/proc/

copy file boot vmlinuz ke direktori boot

bt ~#cp /boot/vmlinuz /mnt/sda4/boot/

chroot directori sdsa4

bt ~# chroot /mnt/sda4/ /bin/bash

setelah itu tampilan prompt akan berubah :

bt / #

modifikasi file lilo untuk dual booting

bt / # nano /etc/lilo.conf

lba32

boot = /dev/ssda

prompt

timeout = 1200

change-rules

reset

vga = 773

image = /boot/vmlinuz

root = /dev/sda4

label = backtrack_3

read-only

other = /dev/sda1

label = windows_xp

table = /dev/sda

simpan dengan menekan ctrl + x ….lalu tekan y dan enter

bt / # lilo -v

pastikan tidak ada error

bt / # exit

maka prompt akan kembali menjadi

bt ~ # umount /mnt/sda4/dev/

bt ~ # umount /mnt/sda4/proc/

dan reboot
